Facilities Manger - 12 month contract - 40-45k/annum - City, London

My client, an established and highly successful mid-sized Insurance company based in the City, has an immediate requirement for an Interim Facilities Manager (with Office Management duties).

Though a corporate company, they have the most fantastic office that creates a collaborative, friendly and highly professional but fun place to work.  Their office design is one of favourites to date! It's impressive and a great space to manage. 

The Facilities Manager will responsible for the management of services and processes that affect the premises in which the business resides in and ensures that company has the most suitable working environment for its employees and their activities.

In order to be successful within this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate clearly management abilities, initiative to come up with new ideas/procedures, strategic thinking and leadership/mentoring skills to your team.

Examples Responsibilities:

  • Manage office space, refurbishment, renovations and office moves (to include managing the
premises and lease negotiations)

 • Manage all maintenance efforts including lighting, air-conditioning, utilities. Supervise all work relating to mechanical, electrical and telecommunications services

• Supervise external contractors and approve their Risk Assessments and Method Statements or Permits premises and lease negotiations)

  • Manage all maintenance efforts including lighting, air-conditioning, utilities. Supervise all work relating to mechanical, electrical and telecommunications services

  • Supervise external contractors and approve their Risk Assessments and Method Statements or Permits

  • Ensure that the building meets health and safety standards. Act as Fire Warden.

  • Appoint and oversee the training for first-aiders.

  • Advising the business and employees on energy efficiency

  • Manage contracts and negotiate with all office suppliers; Manage allocated office budget

  • Oversee reception and manage team

What they are looking for:
  •  Excellent experience of Facilities Management with relevant qualifications
  • A foundation degree, HND or degree in facilities management would be beneficial

What you get:
  • Salary: equivalent to £40,000-£45,000/ annum (depending upon experience) + excellent benefits
  • Contract length: 12 months
